GUILT-FREE CREAMY HOT MOCHA

Sometimes it’s nice to curl up with a cup of something chocolate.

Rather than open an envelope filled with ingredients I can’t pronounce, I like to make my own mocha treat.

It satisfies my chocolate cravings and staves off mid-afternoon hunger with a boost of protein.

  • 2 heaping tablespoons cocoa powder or cacao
  • 2 heaping tablespoons chocolate or vanilla protein powder
  • Sweetener like stevia, if desired
  • 1/4 cup milk of choice¬†or hot water/coffee

Combine ingredients to make a paste, add hot coffee, stir and enjoy.

If you like flavored mocha, you can add a drop of peppermint, maple, raspberry or other extract, or zing it up with a dash of cayenne.
